2013 was an amazing year at WaterFilters.NET. I saw a company that I founded while still in college achieve five straight years on the Inc. 5000.  We were named one of Minnesota’s top job builders.  We even saw the results of our partnership with charity: water as we were provided stories and images from the Ethiopian villages of May Shintro and Mai Gudguad, two communities where we helped to build wells with a portion of the profits earned from our water filter sales.   As I mentioned above, these accomplishments could not have been made without the long-held support of current and future customers like you.

This week, your support paid off in more big ways as two publications in our home base of Minneapolis, MN recognized us as one of the top small business stories in the area and as THE top business builder of the year.

First up was Twin Cities Business, recognizing us as one of the finalists in their 2013 Small Business Success Stories program.  I would love to tell you that this was enough for us to make the cover, but when one of the businesses you are competing with produces the cheerleading uniforms for the Minnesota Vikings, well, what can you do?

When it came time to be recognized by another major business publication, however, there was nothing that could stand in our way – as Upsize Minnesota named us the Business Builder of the Year – even selecting us (and selecting yours truly) for their cover!

Needless to say, both of these recognitions represent huge honors, and at the end of the day, they’ll help to give us the boost we need to continue providing you with the water filters and filtration systems you have always trusted us to provide for you and your family.
