Your Water Filters Purchases Have Helped Us Become A Top Workplace

by Jamin Arvig on June 16, 2014

Star Tribune Top Workplaces 2014When I first started this company more than ten years ago, I can safely say that all employees considered it a top workplace.  That said, considering it was only myself and a few dedicated family members, it wasn’t the most difficult award to achieve.  An honor more difficult to achieve, and far more notable, was found in yesterday’s local newspaper.

The Star Tribune, the paper of record in Minneapolis, MN, has named WaterFilters.NET a 2014 National Standard Setter in its annual Top Workplaces feature.

What this award measures is how our company compares against a national benchmark in metrics ranging from work-life balance, to the vibe of our culture to how our entire team feels about our company’s direction.  This honor was achieved solely based on answers provided by our employees via anonymously provided surveys.

A mission of WaterFilters.NET has always been to ensure everyone has access to clean drinking water.  This means serving everyone from our loyal customers who trust us to always have the water filters they need at our online store, to those in need that we help to support with donations to organizations like charity: water.  More than a full decade after our launch, it’s remarkable to see how far we’ve come both in achieving this mission and in attracting so many team members that understand the importance of achieving these goals.

As I shared above, when this company started, it was easy to make it a best place to work, as the only employees we had to please were those that had some type of financial or familial stake in its success.  Today, the WaterFilters.NET family is more than 60 team members strong, a number that will soon increase considerably.

While we become accustomed to seeing so many new faces every day, we take heart in the fact that our employees trust that we are moving in the right direction. And, of course, we take heart in the fact that we are creating an award-winning culture for those team members dedicated to your water filtration needs.

I’d like to leave you with just a few anonymous quotes provided by our employees in this survey – and with a sincere thank you for your years of support – that helped to make such an achievement possible:

“At WaterFilters.NET, there is alignment with the vision, mission and core values, from the top down.”

“Working at WaterFilters.NET means being able to see it grow fast and consistently.”

“WaterFilters.NET wants to help the world.”

“WaterFilters.NET provides me the tools to be successful. If I am tracking behind on a project, they seek to understand what it is you need to help you be successful.”

Thank you again – and if there is ever anything our team can do to help you find the water filters or filtration products you need – please feel free to call us at 1-888-801-PURE (7873.)
