5 Ways We Helped Improve Drinking Water Quality On Our Christmas Vacation

Everyone Loves Samsung Refrigerator Water Filters

I love the new Samsung refrigerator water filters I got for Christmas! The Samsung flavor is particularly yummy!

If you are like us, you are back in full work mode after a relaxing Christmas break spent with your closest friends and relatives.  If you are really like us, your Christmas break may have even been extended by a now infamous ‘polar vortex.’

While we got plenty of holiday fun and relaxation in, we also did our best during this time to help improve drinking water quality for our customers (two-legged and four-legged) and those in need throughout  the world.  Here are just a few of the ways how:

1. Got You Your Water Filters When You Needed Them
Our customers are known for having the cleanest tasting, highest quality drinking water in their homes.  If we didn’t get our water filters in the hands of our customers before their big holiday parties – we just wouldn’t be doing our job!

Throughout November and December, our small-but-mighty team in Zumbrota, MN worked overtime –  even weekends! – to ensure that we got out the filters that our customers trust to improve their drinking water quality during perhaps the most important time of the year.

Katadyn Vario Camping Filter System2. Helped You Find The Perfect Gifts
Is there a better way to say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays than by helping someone improve the taste and quality of their drinking water?

Black Friday through December, we shared gift ideas for every interest, every family member and every budget – including water filter systems for camping like the Katadyn Vario microfilter to the left, filtered water bottles and bath dechlorinators for new parents, whole house filters and reverse osmosis systems for home brewers and more.

We even remembered your four-legged family members, with help from Clark the Clean Water Dog, who was lucky enough to receive the shower filter he was promised months ago!

Over the holidays, we were lucky to partner with companies and sponsor events just as passionate about our core value of improving drinking water quality.

Clark the Clean Water Dog got another great gift with his own personalized brew from Bowser Beer, a company that provides a healthy, non-alcoholic treat that helps keep dogs happy and hydrated.  From what I hear, and can see in the picture below, he loved it.

Jumping from Bowser Beer to craft beer, we sponsored the Treasure Coast Beer Fest in Florida, where quality water for home brewers has always been a significant challenge.  Clark the Clean Water Dog Gets Bowser BeerWe were even lucky enough to sponsor events geared towards new parents, including the New Hampshire Mama & Baby Expo and the Utah All About Baby Expo, where we raffled off prize packages designed to keep new parents hydrated.

WaterFilters.NET - Veterans Day4. Made It Easier to Celebrate Our Veterans
The holiday season is a time when seeing our family members brave enough to serve in the Armed Forces is even more special.  While those of us that have not served can never hope to fully repay them, we can make it a little bit easier to celebrate them.  Launched on Veterans Day, WaterFilters.NET now offers a 10% discount for all orders placed by veterans, soldiers or families of veterans.  Simply use the code ‘VETERAN’ at checkout.  This discount is indefinite and offered via the honor system.

5. Supported Typhoon Haiyan Relief
Late last year, a historic Typhoon ripped through the Philippines, transforming food and clean drinking water from a right to a luxury.  In addition to offering links to several organizations providing Typhoon Haiyan recovery, we sponsored a 5K for Haiyan Relief in St. Louis in December.

WaterFilters.NET Funbottles For Typhoon Haiyan ReliefIf you are a resident of St. Louis, you may even see some WaterFilters.NET funbottles around that we provided as giveaways for race participants – and, of course – their families!

We are happy that we were able to help improve the drinking water for so many in 2013 and look forward to helping so many more in the new year!

If you are looking for a water filter system for your home, a friend or family member – or are looking for ways to help support our efforts to improve drinking water quality for the world – I would encourage you to call our customer service department toll free at 1-888-801-PURE (7873.)

If you are a veteran, currently serving in the Armed Forces, or are buying a gift for a veteran or soldier, use the discount code ‘VETERAN’ at checkout to take 10% off your entire order!

Holidays are always a busy time for all companies, but because the water industry is growing so rapidly, water filter companies are having record seasons, and the holidays are no exception. Many people are buying them as gifts for friends or family, and many are also bringing them with them on their travels, just like mentioned above.
