Five year start-up Sarvajal (“water for all” in Sanskrit) believes the answer is ‘yes.’ The company has developed ATM style water distribution systems for parts of rural India designed to eliminate the burden of many residents that must spend several hours daily acquiring water for basic needs. As our global water shortage crisis is primarily one of distribution rather than inventory, this is definitely a move in the right direction.
E. Coli Disrupts First Week Back To School In Rockford, Michigan
Detection of E. coli contamination, possibly caused by a bird or mammal, have prompted boil water alerts in Rockford, Michigan through most of this week. Chief among the disruptions and inconveniences of this alert is the closing of six schools, impacting nearly half of the students in the region.
