We’ve covered a lot of stories on this blog as of late sharing how small and craft breweries are adhering to water usage best practices.  That makes the video above all the more special.  Fox affiliate WFXL in Georgia shares how one of the nation’s largest breweries – MillerCoors – has implemented water sustainability initiatives that have helped significantly reduce both energy and water usage in its operations.

Water Sustainability At PepsiCo As Simple As Fixing A Leak
Water sustainability best practices aren’t just for large breweries.  And truly, aren’t just for water intensive industries.  The Guardian reports on teams of ‘leak detectives’ working in hundreds of PepsiCo plants around the world that are improving water efficiency by detecting and fixing leaks as innocuous as faulty bathroom sinks.  On a smaller scale, designating a leak detective in your household – think a child just going back to school – can be a great teaching opportunity and a great way to ensure your family adheres to best water usage practices.

E. Coli Disrupts First Week Back To School In Rockford, Michigan

Plummeting water levels in White Bear Lake have prompted consideration of a plan unprecedented in scope and complexity: the diversion of water from the Mighty Mississippi.  Star Tribune shares more on the feasibility of this proposal, under consideration with $2 million in Clean Water Legacy Funds.
